“The purpose of the Music Ministry God has blessed me with is to
share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song and to encourage
believers in their walk with the Lord. Sure we want people to enjoy
what they see and hear on stage, it’s part of what we do, however,
that’s not the ultimate goal. My goal is to present the gospel
through song and testimony in a way to give those who are lost and
hurting the opportunity to know Jesus in a real and personal way.”
It was almost not to be. Danny started in the ministry at the tender
age of eleven, helping kids with Sunday School and performing
puppet shows at churches and benefits. He started singing at
fifteen and tried out for the youth choir. The director was less than
supportive, sending a devastated Danny home. Danny knew there
was something more for him so he prayed all night, "God if you will
give me a voice I will sing for you." God answered his prayers. Not
long after that he recorded a 45 that received major airplay on
Florida radio stations. Still in his teens, he was offered to host a
gospel radio show called Reach Out. Danny hosted the show for
over eleven years and was syndicated across the country in the 80's
and 90's. The show featured local artists as well as nationally known
Christian performers like Sandi Patty and Amy Grant.
Recent recordings include Here In This Garden, Precious
Memories, The Crossing, Crying Out To Me, Danny Riddle Live 1 &
2, and Here Today. He also offers several singles, including the
heartfelt "Two Hearts in Love." All proceeds from the single and the
CD Project The Hands Of Time, goes to the Alzheimer's Foundation
of America. This song chronicles the heartbreak of dementia but
also offers hope as “two hearts in love can stop the hands of time.”
Danny says, "I love good ol' country gospel music and my heart
always goes back to the old songs of the church." You can hear that
in every note of his inspirational music.
In 2015, Danny was Fan Awarded Calvary’s Way Gospel Music
“Artist Of The Year”
